February is nearly over and soon it will time for us to move on. It's hard to believe that we've spent almost 3 months full time RVing. We've really "nested" in here and in some ways it will be hard to leave. It's been a good place to "learn the ropes" of our new lifestyle. Adventure awaits and we'll be leaving here at the end of the month. Here's a little of what we've been doing here.

After the 7th warmest Jan on record in GA, Feb weather is at best warmer than normal and mixed (70 one and 20 the next). Lots of rain fell this month, but no one complains because it could snow. The rain and cold caused me to skip a few golf outings on Tue and Thur with my new golf buddies. Golfing just isn't fun with ear muffs, mittens, and 3 layers of clothes. Lydia and I managed to play golf a few times on the nicer days. A nice leisurly round together with no pressure shots is always fun. If I don't like a shot, I just hit another ball.

Since splitting the golf course volunteer duties with Brad and Kay, they expanded our duties to include filling divots. Each golf cart has two sand bottles, but no one uses them. It's 3 weeks and counting and the four of us have not finished all 18 holes yet. We are getting to know our neighbors, Brad and Kay Crenshaw. We had them over for dinner one evening and they returned the favor. Lots of talking and story telling followed each dinner. They like it so much here that they signed up to return later this fall so we may be neighbors again since we hope to be here for the holidays.

Despite the weather, golfing , and trips to town for laundry and groceries, we managed to wash the trailer. Dirt builds up on the roof quicker than I realized. Rain washed the dirt down the sides in the form of black streaks. The cleanup job requires scrubbing with soapy water with a brush and some elbow grease. Lydia learned that job quickly.
The highlight of Feb was a wonderful Valentine Day dinner at
Town 220 restaurant in Madison. Many years have passed since we ate in a restaurant like this. Valentine'a Day meant a crowded restaurant, but we still received excellent service and great food. A Christmas present gift card for this restaurant helped a lot when the bill arrived. Thank you, Todd.
