The snow is gone; temps are on the rise; flowers are blooming - time for another road trip with our travel trailer! We headed south to meet Barb and Terry as they started their trek back to Canada.That first night at dinner Terry announced that he had four free tickets to The Masters. OK! Let's go!!!Wait a minute!! The tickets were for the 2nd Annual Wanee Masters Golf Tournament. That's Wanee as in Wanee Lakes Country Club and RV Park - That's where we were camped!! In this tournament, each golfer selects a PGA player from The Masters and their scores are combined. The golfers finish about five o'clock, then gather around the TV to watch the finish of The Masters.
Since we were close to the golf course, we moved our lawn chairs to a place behind the first tee box. We tied a rope in front of our chairs to create a spectator section. We made signs and cheered every tee shot. The golfers loved us and we had a blast!!
A couple of rounds of golf, some shared dinners, and bonfire and the weekend was over. We returned home on Sunday afternoon and watched the last 30 minutes of The Masters.
